Dear Parents and Carers

After a busy term (when isn't life busy?) I would like to focus on the beginning of next term.

Our Foundation Day is on Friday of Week 1. For the first time ever, in 11 years, we will be at school and able to go to Mass at St James Church, as a school. As you know, everyone is invited to join us. We are also having a BBQ lunch after Mass, back at school and all are welcome to come and have a sausage sandwich for lunch and contribute to our learning walls in the hall. A formal invite will be coming soon!

Also in Week 1, THURSDAY is a mufti day to prepare for Foundation Day. All classes will undertake an activity based on the value of LOVE and build a display in the hall, which will be available for viewing for the week. Each stage will then have an activity which will be planned with the staff to build some engagement around the value of Love.

The staff have worked today on deepening our 8 year journey, on building our understanding of who we aspire to be as a Catholic school and how our values are foundational to our work. Next term we launch the Values Statement and we are seeking your input over this time. Please join us at the events above to look at the thoughts of your children and to contribute to the development of our whole school approach.

Thank you for your support through the most wet-weather disrupted term I can remember and I hope the lack of uniform preparation and school bells over the break is joyful for you all.

Best wishes

Ann

RE News

Thank You for Supporting the Winter Appeal and Crazy Hair Day!

A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful school community for your generous support of our annual St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal. Throughout Term 2, we’ve collected a fantastic number of warm items, including blankets, jackets and other winter essentials. These donations will go a long way in helping those doing it tough this winter.

We also extend our thanks for the enthusiastic participation in today’s Crazy Hair Day! It was fantastic to see the creativity and colour on display and even better to know it was all for a good cause. Together, we raised $240, which will be donated directly to St Vincent de Paul to support people in need during the colder months.

A special thank you and congratulations to Duke from Year 6 and our Mission Reps: Slater, Lucie-Mae, Layla and Dean, who led this initiative as part of their leadership projects. Your dedication, organisation and commitment to serving others is a wonderful example of living out our school value of Love in action.

Thank you all for your continued generosity and support!

We wish all our families a wonderful break and look forward to welcoming you back to school for Term 3.
